I think of life as a good book. The further you get into it, the more it begins to make sense.

A great quote by the author of When Bad Things Happen to Good People!

“Never trust anyone who has not brought a book with them.”

You can trust me! I always have at least one book with me. You never know when you are going to be stuck somewhere with nothing to do! Stuck in traffic? Waiting for a doctors appointment? Early for a lunch date? Why waste time? Might as well read a book!

“ I love books. I like that the moment you open one and sink into it you can escape from the world, into a story that’s way more interesting that yours will ever be.”
-Elizabeth Scott 1972-

How true! I am in the middle of When She Woke by Hillary Jordan, a futuristic novel  and believe me Hannah Payne’s life is far more interesting than mine… thank goodness. When she woke up she was a Chrome and had red skin! Not pink, not sun burnt skin….. RED! More on that later!

“I would never want to live anywhere but Baltimore. You can look far and wide, but you’ll never discover a stranger city with such extreme style. It’s as if every eccentric in the South decided to move north, ran out of gas in Baltimore, and decided to stay.”
― John Waters 1946-

After reading Laura Lippman’s book, I just could not help but stay on the Baltimore theme just a bit longer!
