Alice In Wonderland, The Movie

Filed under: Movies — susanbright @ 12:13 am

I just got back from seeing Alice in Wonderland in 3D and I can’t stop smiling. What a fun, entertaining movie. In this version of Alice in Wonderland, Alice is 19 years old, and once again chasing after a white rabbit. This time when she falls into the deep dark hole, she ends up in Underland, a place where animals talk, and anything is possible. Here she meets Tweedledee and Tweedledum, The Mad Hatter, played by Johnny Depp  the Cheshire cat who appears and disappears and a hookah smoking catepillar. I especially like the “animal furniture”. Wouldn’t you like to have a pig ottoman at your beck and call, or monkeys holding up your table as opposed to legs? This movie was sheer fun and not to be missed, so put on those fancy 3D glasses, grab a bag of popcorn and enjoy!

I don’t know about you, but I can’t think of a single movie starring Julia Roberts that I did not like! If Julia Roberts is in it, it is sure to be a hit! Eat Pray  Love is based on the memoir by Elizabeth Gilbert. Julia Roberts plays Elizabeth Gilbert, the 30 something author who after a difficult divorce,  decides  to spend a year traveling in Italy, India and Indonesia in order to “find herself”.

Julie and Julia

Filed under: Movies — susanbright @ 10:11 am

JulieI went to the movies with  my husband and son last night to see District 9. It was not until we walked up to the ticket counter that my son told me that he couldn’t believe that I was going to see this movie and that I was going to absolutely hate it! So, I bought a ticket to see Julie and Julia, and sat all by myself. I smiled and laughed the entire movie! In fact I may take my mother and go see it again! The only negative thing I can say is that I was not ready for it to be over! Now I want to read the book!
