One of my many New Years Resolutions is to try to get back to The Friday Morning Bookclub Blog. I may not be as diligent about posting as I once was, but I am going to attempt to at least let everyone know what we are reading and keep our book list updated.

So hear goes……This month’s book is Circling the Sun by Paula McLain

  1. I seriously suggest you read Beryl Markham’s “West with the Night”. She writes so much better than Ms McLain…who is actually writig about Beryl Markham…

  2. Thank you Gabi. It is nice to hear from you! I just looked up West with the Night and it looks like a fascinating read. For those who are not familiar with the book, it is Beryl Markham’s memoir. Originally written in 1942, it was reprinted in 1980 and again in 2010. I am enjoying reading Circling the Sun and now will have to read West with the Night! Thank you for the suggestion.

  4. Hi Susan,
Recently finished Girl waits with gun.
By Amy Stewart. It was a delight to read , with humor and suspense . As I adore historical fiction, I couldn put this one down. You will love it.

I’ll add circling the sun to my list…
