Every year we brainstorm about ways to share our love of reading. Something to make a difference in a child’s life. This year the perfect opportunity just fell into our lap. When a friend of mine told me about her daughter’s first year teaching experience in an inner city school I was deeply touched. Here were 50 plus eight year olds, many of whom never owned a book of their own. Within a matter of weeks, thanks to Audrey and Bonnie we were able to purchase, wrap and deliver a book to each student complete with a candy cane. The children were thrilled and I wish I could share pictures of the students but because I am hesitant to post pictures, I am going to post some of the sweet thank you notes we received.

Susan, This child’s note was very touching and written with a sense of humor. What a wonderful and charitable idea to give books to needy children.
