And here they are…….. The Finalists for the 2012 Book Award.

Would you believe that I have not read any of these books?

To make matters worse, I actually started reading Katherine Boo’s Behind the Beautiful Forevers: Life, Death, and Hope in a Mumbai Undercity and put it down. Now that’s an uplifting title, isn’t it! Yes, it is Non Fiction and I am sure that it is beautifully written, but I was just not in the mood for a depressing book. I guess I should “put on my big girl pants” and read it!

Have you read Any of these books?

The winners in each of the four categories: fiction, nonfiction, poetry and young people’s literature will be announced on Nov. 14!

  1. Nope. I may read the Dave Eggers but the others just haven’t popped up on my book horizon. And I have to say now of them look particularly interesting. I’m such a philistine.

    • Hi Gabi, I am with you. Give me a good mystery or even good historical fiction and I am happy! Read anything really good lately?
