At The Friday Morning Bookclub it is a group decision. From time to time we vote via our blog and let all of our blogger friends help us decide, sometimes we do an informal vote by email and other times someone brings up a book at one of our meetings which sounds so good that we decide to read it on the spot.
Tell us about your book club…how do you choose your books?
Friday Morning Bookclub 
Our book club is very informal. At the end of each meeting we choose our next book. Your group seems much more organized. It would probably be better if we picked the book a couple of months ahead in case someone wanted to start reading earlier.

We take turns choosing our book. Everyone has a turn and we have to read the book BEFORE we recommend it. Whoever chooses the book leads the meeting. Seems to work for us.
