Deanna Fei was born in Flushing, New York. She is a graduate of Amherst College and the Ohio Writer’s Workshop. Deanna was awarded a Fulbright grant which made it possible for her to travel to China and write her first novel, A Thread of Sky. She spent time in Beijing as well as Shanghai. A Thread of Sky is both a New York Times Editor’s Choice and a Indie Next Notable Book. Deanne lives in Brooklyn and is working on a second book which ” has nothing to do with China”.
