Yes! I am totally hooked on audio books! When I put disk 11 of The American Heiress in my car’s CD player, I began to panick. What was I going to do when I finished this last disk? How could I get through the day, driving around town without listening to a book? I have not listened to music, news or talk radio in weeks. I have no idea what is going on in the world. I have been too busy listening to find out what was going to happen to Cora Cash. Would she stay with her husband Ivo, the Duke of Wareham? Would she leave him for her childhood beau Teddy Van Der Leyden? How I loved those names and accents! What would the oh so manipulative Double Duchess say? Who knew there was such a thing as a Double Duchess anyway?? How about the loyal, soft spoken Bertha? I could not imagine how this book could possibly have a happy ending, however I was enjoying the ride, all the way to the library where I picked up two more audio books, after all I don’t want to be caught empty-handed!
