Do You Listen To Audio Books? Please vote!

I recently started listening to audio books and I find myself looking for reasons to get in my car so I can listen to just one more cassette!  In order to reach out to more readers the  Audio Publishers Association is celebrating audio month this month. Do you listen to audio books? All votes and comments are welcomed!

  1. I really enjoy listening to books on tape. Some people are snobbs about it but it really is very enjoyable. Some books are better on tape. I am listening to Isabel Allende’s Island Beaneath the Sea and I just finished Still Alice.I find it is very relaxing to listen to a book in the car instead of thinking about all the things I have to do. 2. Hi Cathy, I am with you! I am listening to The Guernsey Literary Potato Peel Society and am loving it. The audio tape is done so well, with different voices and accents that it is like listening to a play. I would highly recommend listening to this book!

  4. I am listening to Pillars of the Earth while I do some household painting! It is so much better than listening to music or having the tv tuned onto financial news or talk shows. i think it is so funny when the reader changes his voice for different characters…especially when they “try” to be feminine.

  5. Hi Cris! Pillars of the Earth was one of my favorite books. I remember flipping to the front of the book numerous times to look at the chart with all of the characters and their relationships, which of course you can’t do when listening to an audio book. If you need a little help with any of the characters check out the chart of characters on Ken-Follett.com. That must be a long audio book and a lot of different voices. Good luck with the painting!
