A truly great book should be read in youth,
again in maturity and once more in old age,
as a fine building should be seen by morning light,
at noon and by moonlight.

What books do you plan to read in youth, maturity and old age?
I would want to read To Kill a Mockingbird and Tom Sawyer.

Welcome Rikki…. I agree, both are books well worth reading more than one time!

My high school english teacher said we should all do that for Huck Finn. I need to re-read.

Welcome Gayle! Good suggestion. I have read The Great Gatsby twice. Once in high school, a second time when my children were reading it in high school. I guess I am due to read it a third time along with Huck Finn!

Wuthering Heights is a book that I read first in my early teens, then again in high school, again in college, and I read it again a few years ago when I introduced it to my own teenage daughter. I’m sure that I will read it again.
