  1. Thanks for sharing this, Susan. It is still so shocking to think about, even knowing all the other horrible things that the Nazi’s did. This is just one more aspect of their all encompassing evil. How do we as humans, stoop this low?? And to think there are so many places still in our world, where unthinkable things are going on.

    • The more I read about the Lebensborn Project, the more shocked and horrified I am. How is it possible that something like this happened and hardly anyone knows about it. I shutter to think what other “projects” were in existence thst we do not know about. This is one of the reasons I like to read Historical Fiction. My Enemy’s Cradle really opened my eyes!

  2. Watching that was much more disturbing than reading the book. I had never heard of this before so thanks for posting this.

  3. I agree with you both…. it is almost beyond comprehension. And I definitely think the you tube was much more disturbing than the book. The book became more a love story in the second half, just set against that backdrop of the Lebensborn. Yes, we got some insight into the inner workings of one… but the actual numbers and kidnapping aspect weren’t really dealt with in the book. I still feel that it was a very worthwhile read…it has prompted us to learn more.
