Thank you Janine. Blessings by Anna Quindlen is correct! Skip Cuddy and Lydia Blessing’s lives are changed forever when Skip, an ex- con working as a handyman/ caretaker for 80 year old Lydia finds an abandoned  baby girl outside his garage apartment on the Blessing’s estate.
