Although we had so many wonderful recommendations from our readers, we had to narrow it down to 3 choices… not any easy task as every one of the books sound amazing. Which one do you want to read next?
Ahab’s Wife- The story of Una Spenser, wife of Captain Ahab from Melville’s Moby Dick. (warning: this is 600+ pages)

Cutting For Stone- The story of 2 brothers born in Ethiopia to Sister Mary Joseph Praise, a nun who dies during childbirth. (warning: this is 500+ pages)

I know we have read quite a number of Holocaust books, but “My Enemy’s Cradle” seems to have yet another angle that I don’t know much about and am intrigued to find out. So it gets my vote. I must say though, that “Cutting for Stone” also sounds great… my only reluctance there is the 500 pages part. Maybe this would be a good one to keep for the summer when we may not have a meeting every month… if we land up skipping one meeting then, this might be a good one to do then.
