If you have any more suggestions for our next book, now is the time to speak up! Is there a book you are dying to read? So far we have had the following book recommendations.
Ahab’s Wife by Sena Naslund
Villa Incognito by Tom Robbins
Stones From The River by Ursula Hegi
The Art Of Racing In The Rain by Garth Stein
Cutting For Stone by Abraham Verghese
Blood of Flowers by Anita Amirrezvani
Space Between Us by Thrity Umrigar
My Enemy’s Cradle by Sara Young
Stones from the River is an excellent book for book club~! Did it in my MD book club 5 years ago…highly recommend The Space Between Us by Umrigar. I read it on my cruise and did not want to put it down! Cried through it and did not want to finish this story! It is such a great book to read and discuss! Some books we just read in AZ book club that I would not recommend are Infidel (such a tough story with tons of detail) and The Girls from Ames (we all could have written a story like this – woman and their friendships) I hope you all liked Linnet Bird as that was on my favorites and I recommended it to Audrey~ Nancy from Arizona

Nancy, thanks for your suggestions. I absolutely loved The Linnet Bird.I will add Space Between Us to our list. It is also always helpful to hear what not to read! Thanks for blogging with us.

Hi Nancy from Arizona! Thanks for your suggestions – I always enjoyed your book recommendations (just not your movie recommendations….but that’s another story). I had read Stones From the River years ago and loved it. Several people have recommended The Space Between Us – I’ll have to read that. I think that the Linnet Bird will rank among the favorites of our book club too! Hope all is well and keep us posted on what your book club is reading! 🙂

I just finished reading Molokai’ by Alan Brennert and absolutely loved it. I didn’t want to put it down
While it is a bit sad and heartwrenching at times, it also was uplifting at times and you will come to love the the main character
