Trivia 101

What book that The Friday Morning bookclub read introduce is to the terrible disease called osteogenesis imperfecta?

Thank you Audrey! Handle With Care  By Jodi Picoult is correct! This is the story of Willow, born with osteogenesis imperfecta, a rare genetic disease often referred to as Brittle Bone Disease, and how it affects the entire family. The story really gets interesting when Willow’s mother Charlotte, against the will of her husband, decides to bring a wrongful life suit against her obstetrician, who happens to be her best friend. This is a real page turner and like most of Picoult’s books has  a twist at the end. It will “break” your heart!

  1. I think eveyone agrees this was a difficult book to read, the answer is Handle with Care.

  2. The book was Handle With Care as Audrey said. After reading Nineteen Minutes and Handle With Care, it appears to me that Picoult has a thing for writing about a family crisis and how the lives of the family members are affected by the crisis. Very soap “operaish.” I think she may need to find another theme for her books.
