Another Snow Day….. And Nothing Good To Read!

Filed under: Literary Tidbits — susanbright @ 6:25 pm

Today is a perfect day to curl up on the sofa in front of a roaring fire and read! I have shelves and shelves of books and yet I can’t seem to find anything to read!  The first book I picked up to read is The Middle Place by Kelly Corrigan. This is Kelly’s memoire and I am told that it is an amazing story, however I have been surrounded by sickness and lost a very dear friend to breast cancer recently and the last thing I want to read about is someone battling breat cancer. I thought about trying to read Three Cups Of Tea, again…. but that doesn’t interest me either. Next I picked up Falling Leaves by Adeline Yen Mah, The Memoire of an Unwanted Chinese Daughter. I am beginning  to wonder why I have so many depressings books on my shelves.   Sometimes I just want to read a good old fashion murder mystery! I may just have to read my son’s Harry Potter book or curl up in front of the tv instead! Enjoy the snow!
