  1. Hi again! Mona here – Sarah from St. Croix friend
Sarah’s Key is our January 12th meeting book. Just finished reading it yesterday and I was a blubbery mess for most of the morning and yes I did have to read into the hours of the night…as I needed to know just a little bit more before I could put it down. I believe it will be a good book discussion.
Are there any comments that the “Friday Morning Book Club” would like to add to the “Book Lovers” meeting?

  2. Welcome back Mona! Thanks for checking in with us again! Sarah’s Key led to a fascinating disscussion and almost everyone loved the book. It was shocking how little most of us knew about the Vel’d’Hiv’roundup of the Jews in France.

  3. The first time I had heard of the Vel D’Hiv roundup of the Jews in France was in a novel called “Broken For You” by Stephanie Kallos. While it is not a “holocaust book”, it does make mention of that event, and I found it to be an engrossing, fascinating novel.
