Friday Morning Bookclub’s Favorites

Although our Book club has been meeting for close to 8 years, we have only begun rating our books the last 3 months. Everyone wants to know which books we think deserve 5 stars…or in our case 5 omelets. One of my favorites is The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls.   Another one of my favorites is Girl With A Pearl Earring by Tracy Chevalier. I would definitely give these two books 5 Omelets !

If you have not read The Glass Castle, you have got to watch this short video

If you have not read Girl With A Pearl Earring, check out Tracy Chevalier’s site

What do you think? What are some of your favorites?

  1. Beneath a Marble Sky was a winner with me. I was very impressed with the author’s ability to write in the voice of a woman. Also, I found the story fascinating.

  2. I did read a good book, not fiction………but fascinating and really well-written (especially for those of us who love French food)……….”Au Revoir to All That: Food, Wine, and the End of France” by Michael Steinberger. He explores the reasons why Michelin stars don’t usually guarantee a fabulous meal in France, the downfall of the French government interfering in the restaurant business, the history of certain French culinary standards, and why McDonald’s has succeeded so well there. Loved it…….
