My Salad Addiction

Filed under: Restaurants — susanbright @ 9:30 pm

I love a good salad! Once in a while I find one that I just can’t get enough of. Until a few weeks ago it was The Original BBQ Chicken Chopped Salad at California Pizza. Don’t get me wrong, I still really love this salad with its crunchy jicama. The first time I tasted it I was sitting having lunch with my mother and we were discussing the fact that we had never bought jicama and didn’t even know what it looked like. Two minutes later, someone came out from the kitchen with a jicama and showed it to us. To this day I have no idea how anyone heard our conversation!Do you think tables are bugged? Now I have moved on to a new salad; Famous Daves Sassy BBQ salad with Beef Brisket.  It is Delicious! The corn muffin that comes with it is pretty good too. Guess what I am having for dinner tomorrow night?

  1. Talking of salads… my favorite is the Thai Salad at Golden West Cafe in Hampden. Here is the description from their menu….Thai Salad
Available with warm chicken, fried tofu or shrimp. meat is caramelized, tomato and fresh mint are added, then de-glazed with lime juice, fish sauce, chiles, ginger and garlic. served over crisp romaine and cold peanut noodles, sprinkled with crushed peanuts. It has both cold and warm ingredients and it absolutely scrumptious!
